WHAT IS BCC ABOUT?

Broomfield Community Church is not about religion.  Broomfield Community Church is about Jesus Christ.  That is because of what Jesus came to do.

WHAT DID JESUS COME TO DO?

Nearly everyone thinks that Jesus was a great teacher.  Jesus also cast out demons, restored sight to the blind, gave hearing to the deaf, healed lepers, walked on water, and fed the multitudes.

But there was something far more important than all of these that Jesus came to do. Jesus said about himself,

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45, ESV)

The most important thing Jesus did was to give his life as a sacrifice for sin.  Jesus Christ bore the penalty of sin on the cross for those who would believe on Him for salvation.

WHAT ARE WE TO DO?

Jesus said that belief and faith in Him are crucial for salvation.  Jesus said about himself,

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, ESV)

Believe Jesus’ death on the cross is the only means to atone for your sins and to be saved.  Jesus died on the cross and was buried.  Yet Jesus did not stay dead.  He rose from the dead!  Jesus predicted this:

For he was teaching his disciples, saying to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And when he is killed, after three days he will rise.” (Mark 9:31, ESV)

That is the good news Broomfield Community Church proclaims.

“Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, ESV)
